Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in MP (Kolkata)
The Government of Madhya Pradesh is looking forward to organizing its 4th “Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh” in Kolkata on 19th September 2024. This session aims to promote the upcoming “Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit 2025” and attract investors to establish industries in Madhya Pradesh.
Government of Madhya Pradesh concluded its 4th Interactive session in Kolkata at Hotel J. W. Marriott, as a precursor to the ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit’ scheduled for February 2025 in Bhopal.
The event saw over 700 participants, including prominent industrialists from sectors like Steel, Food Processing, IT, Textiles, and Logistics. Investors from West Bengal and neighboring states engaged in discussions with key stakeholders.
The session was attended by 10 international diplomatic missions from countries such as Germany, Russia, Canada, Spain, Greece, El Salvador, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Guatemala. Representatives from leading industrial organizations like NASSCOM, AEPC, BCCI, ICC, and EEPC were also present.
Key officials from the Government of Madhya Pradesh delivered presentations on investment opportunities across various sectors. Prominent industrialists, Mr. Mr. Sanjiv Puri, President of CII and Chairman & MD of ITC Limited, Mr. Sandip Ghose, MD & CEO of MP Birla Group and Mr. Alok Birla, MD of Swara Hygiene Pvt. Ltd, shared their insights.
Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, delivered a special address, emphasizing the government’s vision to promote investment and innovation for sustainable development. He highlighted the cultural similarities between Kolkata and Madhya Pradesh and the state’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and fostering industrial growth.
The event included one-to-one meetings between the Chief Minister and key industrialists, a networking lunch, and a dinner with select industrialists. Four roundtable meetings focused on Hosiery and Garment Manufacturing, Logistics, Steel & Alloy Manufacturing, and IT/ITES (NASSCOM), providing platforms for in-depth sector-specific discussions.
