- About Madhya Pradesh
The second largest state of India, Madhya Pradesh is considered the emerging economic tiger of the country. Madhya Pradesh has witnessed a radical transformation in its economic and social development and has recorded an impressive decadal CAGR of 11.26% in Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP).
Madhya Pradesh is centrally located and borders the states of Uttar Pradesh to the north-east, Chhattisgarh to the south-east, Maharashtra to the south, Gujarat to the west and Rajasthan to the northwest. Its central location provides a strategic advantage by capturing 50% of the Indian population through its adjacent states. This location advantage of the state is supplemented through a robust road network of over 3,50,000 km, 40+ national highways and 550+ trains making their way across the state daily.
In addition to its strategic location, Madhya Pradesh provides one of the best business ecosystems for investors in India. Under the stewardship of the Honourable Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chohan, Madhya Pradesh has prioritized good governance in the roadmap of Aatmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. Development of an online GIS enabled land bank with land booking facility, a single window system integrating 12 Departments and 45 services are some key measures which has helped the state achieve 4th rank in Ease of Doing Business Rankings in the country.
